Event Hospitality & Entertainment Ltd (EVT) is a reputable Australian company which operates cinemas, hotels and resorts in Australia, New Zealand and Germany. Rydges Hotels & Resorts, QT, Atura, Thredbo, Events Cinema (just to name a few) are part of the group. 

 

Throughout the years, Focus Digital Solution had the opportunity to support EVT with various type of projects. From website development, brand manual design to strategic media planning and management, the objectives are to maximise brand awareness and drive profitable revenue for the group.

 

Here is a case study for one of the conference & events campaign we've managed for EVT from start to completion. Together with the digital and promotion team members at EVT corporate office, the 2-months campaign generated positive results.

The Challenge

Winter is the slowest month for most hotels in Australia & New Zealand. An extensive media campaign is required to drive last-minute C&E sales 2 months leading up to winter season on a limited budget. 

The Solution

An extensive online media campaign was put in place for the group known as the Spoilt for Choice incentive campaign to capture as much attention as possible from the professional conference organisers, venue finders and event managers of corporate organisations. 

9 key C&E partners were selected based on strong online presence and the quality of each database with the potential to drive last-minute C&E leads to EVT hotels across Australia & New Zealand. Increased commission combined with advertising investment was introduced to the first few bookings, creating a sense of urgency in the market. Majority of the ads also featured up to 12 need hotels where possible to provide additional exposure.

Partnerships and advertising costs negotiation were a crucial part of the project to ensure we get the most campaign exposure for our client within the limited budget without affecting the end results. 

The Results

The 2 months campaign generated 122 leads worth $765K in potential revenue. The campaign reached over 650,000 audiences through various partners and mediums including email marketing, social media, banner advertising, search engine marketing, influencer marketing, sponsored articles and selected event sponsorships.
